RCC’s special drive to prevent dengue

RAJSHAHI, June 10, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has launched a two-week special cleanliness drive for spraying insecticide and larvicide to prevent dengue in the city.

The program was formally inaugurated today at Upashahar Moor in the city by RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton. 

Speaking on the occasion, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said the city corporation has been working tirelessly to build a clean city and ensure citizen services.

As part of advance preparations to prevent dengue, several initiatives have been undertaken, he said. 

Special cleanliness drive and campaign would continue, he said seeking cooperation of city dwellers.

He urged everyone to keep their homes and surrounding areas clean to help build a dengue-free Rajshahi. 

He called on all citizens to remain vigilant in eliminating mosquito breeding grounds and work together to make Rajshahi a clean, beautiful, and healthy city.
