KHULNA, June 13, 2026 (BSS) - Leaders of Khulna City BNP and its associate bodies have expressed gratitude to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman for appointing SM Shafiqul Alam Mona as the Chairman of the Khulna Development Authority (KDA).

In a joint statement issued on Friday, the leaders also congratulated Mona on his new responsibility, describing the appointment as a positive step for Khulna's development.

The statement said Mona is a tested and popular leader who has long been active in serving the people of Khulna and has played a significant role in the party's movements and organizational activities.

It further said the appointment reflects the expectations of people from all walks of life in the city, who seek accelerated development and modernization.

The leaders expressed hope that under Mona's leadership, planned urban development initiatives and infrastructure modernization in Khulna would gain fresh momentum, contributing to the overall progress of the industrial city.
