Islamic Foundation launches vitamin-A campaign in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, June 26, 2026 (BSS) - Islamic Foundation today launched vitamin-A campaign through all mosques in the district.

Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation, Mohammed Ali Zinnah said Imams of all mosques will carry out campaign about the importance of taking vitamin-A and feeding time schedule before Khutba of Jumma prayers. 

District Health Department has already completed all formalities to feed vitamin-A capsules to 352,127 children in the district on June 28.

On the day 311,655 children aged from 6 months to 11 months will be administered blue coloured one lakh International Unit (IU) vitamin-A capsule and 40,472 children aged 12 months to 59 months two lakh IU red coloured A capsule from 8am to 4pm in 1692 centers in all the seven Upazilas in the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Azizul Haque said they have finished all preparations to make the campaign a success.
