Jordan says its forces took part in strikes against IS in Syria

AMMAN, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Jordan's air force carried out strikes against Islamic State group targets in Syria as part of a US operation this weekend, the military said Sunday.

The Jordanian army said Saturday's strikes "were coordinated with partners within the framework of the international coalition... to neutralise the capabilities of terrorist groups and prevent them from reorganising".
