DHAKA, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on MM
Asadullah, senior manager of the Sales and Marketing Division of Teletalk
Bangladesh Limited.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court's Vacation Bench Judge Mohammad
Abdullah Al Mamun passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-
Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the petition, an investigation is underway into allegations that
Asadullah laundered money abroad and amassed a large amount of wealth
inconsistent with his known sources of income by abusing his official
position.

It stated that Asadullah had already travelled to multiple countries without
proper authorization, for which he was reportedly suspended as part of
departmental action.

The ACC told the court, based on confidential intelligence gathered during
the inquiry, there were indications that Asadullah might flee the country.
Such an act could obstruct the commission's ongoing investigation, the
petition added.
