Ansar, VDP hold election preparatory meeting in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Feb 06, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the 13th National Parliament elections, the Ansar and Village Defense Party (Ansar-VDP) today held an election preparatory meeting in the district.

Addressing the rally virtually as the chief guest, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, Director General of Ansar-VDP, urged all members to perform duties with professionalism in a fair and impartial manner during the election.

District Ansar-VDP Commandant Md Nuruzzaman said that about 11,500 male and female members of Ansar and VDP will be on duty in six parliamentary constituencies of the district. 

Nuruzzaman said that the main task of Ansar members is to maintain law and order at the polling centre and ensure the physical safety of the presiding officer and security to the ballot boxes. 

Members of the Ansar and VDP will perform their electoral duties with 100 percent impartiality to maintain the trust of the government and the people following the instructions of the Director General and Deputy Director General of Rangpur Range, he said. 

Nuruzzaman asked the force members to follow such instructions, while Ansar-VDP members present at the rally pledged to perform their electoral duties with transparency.
