DHAKA, June 3, 2026 (BSS) - Leaders and activists of the USA unit of Zia Cyber Force today paid tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman by placing wreaths at his grave in the capital on the occasion of his 45th martyrdom anniversary.

The tribute was paid at the mausoleum of Ziaur Rahman at Chandrima Udyan this afternoon, said a press release.

The programme was attended by Convener of Zia Cyber Force USA chapter Abdur Rouf Khan Nawab, General Secretary Shah Newaz Prince, Senior Vice-President Mohammad Mohiuddin and more than a hundred leaders and activists of the organisation.

They offered prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Ziaur Rahman and took part in a special munajat at the mausoleum.

During the prayers, participants also sought blessings for the late President and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, while praying for peace, prosperity and the continued democratic progress of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that although they live abroad, they continue to uphold the nationalist ideals and legacy of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

They said the USA chapter of Zia Cyber Force regularly organises various programmes to promote Ziaur Rahman's ideals among younger generations and inspire patriotism.

The leaders described the observance of the martyrdom anniversary as not only an occasion to pay tribute but also an opportunity to express gratitude to a statesman and reaffirm their commitment to carrying his ideals to future generations.
