CJ pays homage to language heroes on Martyrs Day

DHAKA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Refaat Ahmed paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the language movement in the early hours of today marking the 'Shaheed Dibash' (Martyrs Day) and the International Mother Language Day.

The Chief Justice, along with the judges of the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court, paid homage to the martyrs of the historic language movement by placing wreaths at the altar of the Central Shaheed Minar. 

Later, they stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the language martyrs there.
