Four DIGs of police sent on retirement

DHAKA, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - The government has sent four Deputy Inspector 
Generals (DIGs) of police on retirement.

The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry today issued separate 
notifications signed by the Senior Secretary of the ministry Nasimul Gani 
in this regard.

The retired officers are-- Md Abdul Quddus Amin, DIG of the Naval Police, Md 
Nisharul Arif of the Anti-Terrorism Unit, Amena Begum and Md. Azad Mia of the 
Highway Police.

The notification mentioned that the four police officers were sent on 
retirement as per Section 45 the Public Service Act, 2018.

They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits as per 
the rules, according to the notifications.
