DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - The International Organization for Migration
(IOM) has planned three special flights this month to repatriate stranded
Bangladeshi nationals from Libya.

According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, a flight will depart from
Misrata on March 12 while two more flights will operate from Tripoli on March
19 and 26 respectively.

The embassy stated that IOM has initially scheduled these three repatriation
flights and is working closely with the embassy to complete the necessary
formalities, including obtaining exit visas (Khurooj Nihai) and securing
required approvals from Libyan authorities.

IOM aims to facilitate the return of registered migrants from Tripoli and
Misrata through these flights.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli continues its efforts to
repatriate other registered migrants from Benghazi and those newly interested
in returning home safely and swiftly.

The embassy reassured all concerned that it is taking every possible measure
to ensure the safe repatriation of Bangladeshi migrants and remains in
constant communication with relevant authorities.
