DMP files 1371 cases over violating traffic rules

DHAKA, March 09, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1371 cases for violations of traffic rules across the capital, as part of an ongoing drive to maintain discipline on the roads.

The operation, conducted on Saturday, resulted in fines being imposed on the offenders.

Additionally, a total of 192 vehicles were impounded, while 44 others were towed, according to a press release signed by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of police (media and public relations division) at DMP.

Regular drive against the traffic rule violators will enhance discipline on the city's streets, the press release said.
