CJ pays homage to liberation war martyrs on Independence Day

DHAKA, March 26, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Refaat Ahmed paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the War of Liberation by laying wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar this morning on the occasion of Independence and National Day.

The Chief Justice along with the judges of the Appellate and High Court divisions of the Supreme Court paid tributes to the martyrs at 6:15 am, according to a press release signed by Md. Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.

After laying the wreaths, the Chief Justice and the judges of both the divisions of the Supreme Court stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the martyrs of the Liberation War.
