SAVAR, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS)- RAB-4 has arrested former Jamalpur Union Parishad (UP) chairman in the student-public killing case in Savar.

The arrestee was identified as Badrul Alam Sardar, a member of Madarganj Upazila Awami League and former chairman of Char Paker Deh Union Parishad No. 1 of Jamalpur district.

He had been hiding at Hemayetpur, Savar, said Inspector (Investigation) of Savar Model Police Station Helaluzzaman.

He was handed over to Savar Model Police Station, he added. 
Police said he allegedly financed vehicle arson during the shutdown called by the banned Awami League.
