DHAKA, April 1, 2026 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) from the Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 14 individuals during a special anti-drug block raid conducted in the capital's Boshila and Mohammadpur thana areas.

The drive was carried out around 9:00 pm on Tuesday in the presence of Special Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Al-Faisal.

During the drive, four individuals were detained while consuming drugs at Mofizuddin Road under Mohammadpur Police Station. 

Additionally, 10 more individuals were arrested from Boshila for similar offenses.

The arrested individuals were later produced before the Special Metropolitan Magistrate's Court. 

They were convicted under Sections 86/100 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance, 1976, and subsequently sent to jail.

According to DMP sources, anti-drug operations will continue across the capital as part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotics-related activities.
