Earthquake leaves one dead, several injured in Narayanganj

DHAKA, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS)- The earthquake jolted the country today killed a child and injured several others in Narayanganj.

The Chief Adviser's Press Wing disclosed the matter in a press release tonight.

According to preliminary reports, in Canal Area-5 of Golakandail Union, a wall collapsed, killing a child on the spot. 

The child’s mother sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in Dhaka. 

The deceased child’s family has been provided with immediate financial assistance.

Besides, a pedestrian was seriously injured in the tremor.
 
Elsewhere in the district, 24 people received primary treatment at various hospitals following minor injuries from the earthquake. No serious injuries have been reported.

Authorities are continuing to assess structural damage caused by the tremor across the district.
