BNP determined to establish rights of every citizen: Fakhrul

THAKURGAON, April 30, 2025 (BSS)- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said his party is committed to protect the rights of every citizen irrespective of their religion, caste and creed.

“Everyone who took birth in this country is the citizen of Bangladesh. None should consider them as minority as they have the full freedom to enjoy every right,” he said 

Mirza Fakhrul was speaking as the chief guest at a function on the occasion of unveiling the plaque of Sri Sri Shanidev Mandir at Kalibari Temple at Thakurgaon municipality area here today.

Laying emphasis on maintaining tolerance and harmony among people BNP secretary general said, “Let’s build a new beautiful Bangladesh altogether.”

He also recalled friendship and harmony among the people of different communities they nurtured in the past.

He condemned some media’s attempt to instigate communal tensions by spreading propaganda and misleading information intentionally.
 
Satyajit Kumar Kundu presided over the function while leaders of local Hindu community Balram Guha Thakurta, Manoranjan Singh, Chintaharan Debnath, Subhas Chandra Mallick spoke, among others, on the occasion.

District BNP general secretary Mirza Faisal Amin, vice president Obaidullah Masud, joint general secretary Paygam Ali and senior BNP leaders attended the function.

After unveiling the plaque, the BNP Secretary General visited the neighboring Mother Teresa School and attended a function there.
