Allocation for expanding sports facilities to rise: Asif

DHAKA, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has announced that initiatives are underway to increase government allocation aimed at expanding sports facilities for athletes across the country.

In a recent post on his verified Facebook page, the adviser stated, "The Ministry of Youth and Sports has taken initiatives to increase the allocation for expanding facilities for players."
 
A policy-making process is also underway to ensure sustainable and broad-based development of sports, He added. 

Bhuyain also emphasized the importance of youth participation in sports, urging parents to encourage their children to actively engage in physical activities to build both physical and mental resilience.
