NBR officials call off shutdown

DHAKA, June 29, 2025 (BSS) - Officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) have decided to withdraw their nationwide shutdown considering the greater interests of trade and commerce and the country's economy.

Hasan Mohammad Tarek Rikabder, president of the NBR Reforms Oikko Parishad, announced the decision at a press conference after a meeting with the country's leading businessmen at the office of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) in Dhaka this evening.
