DHAKA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) – The government today approved a proposal in principle for not implementing the ‘Rectification and Up gradation of CETP and Establishment of SWM at BSCIC Tannery Industrial Estate, Dhaka’ under the PPP Model.

The approval came from the 19th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs held at Bangladesh Secretariat today with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.

The meeting also approved a proposal from the Ministry of Shipping for taking necessary measures in line with the Public Procurement Act-2006 and Chittagong Port Authority Act 2022 for conducting the operations of the New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) (including overflow yard) under the own management of CPA for six months or until new operator is appointed.
