DHAKA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today said the Awami League (AL) members, its leadership and sympathisers will never have peace until they start respecting those martyred and injured in the July Uprising.

"We will erase the stains of your nefarious influence from our soil and cleanse them with bloods. You will never have peace -- until you start respecting our martyrs and our injured, until you say sorry," he wrote on a post in his verified Facebook account, marking the July Uprising.

Alam said they have waited for about 10 months for the AL members, its leadership and sympathisers to say sorry and join the efforts to build a new discrimination-free Bangladesh.

"But since July last year what you did was - you mocked our martyrs," he added.

The press secretary said the AL men disparaged the country's struggle and labeled all 170 million people of the country as Jongi (militant), desperately hoping that their colonial masters will come to rescue them and hand over the country back to them for a new phase of looting, plunder and mayhem.

"Sorry, it won't happen again. July has taught us to be undaunted. July has taught us to be defiant against all odds. July has changed our DNA permanently. It has inserted a rare gene of bravery into our DNA and into our souls," he said.

"And we will never be same again. July has taught us never to give up and stand on the ground upright and tall against a hailstorm of bullets."

"July has taught us not to forget our martyrs and how you have mercilessly killed them; how you have blinded our boys and amputated their souls," Alam said.

He mentioned that there will never be peace with the AL men until they say sorry; until they put themselves in front of a mirror and see bloods in their hands.

"We will fight you in our farmland, rivers and on the hills. We will fight you in the virtual world. We will unmask you as enablers of mass murders and robbers of human rights," the press secretary said.
