DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar today said real evaluation of the merits of students will be reflected in the SSC examination results, which will be published tomorrow.

“The results of this year's SSC examination are going to be published tomorrow. Real evaluation of the merits of the students will be reflected in this year's SSC results. Manipulated results like in the past will no longer be given to the students,” he said.

The adviser made the comments in an exclusive interview with Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) at his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat here.

In the last 16 years, Abrar said, the results were published by increasing the marks of students to show the success of the government.

“The head of the government organized a kind of photo session to publish those results. The chairmen of the education boards used to go to the Prime Minister with the result books of the public examinees along with the education minister, and the Prime Minister would then have a photo session with them and publish the results,” he added.

He said, “Our interim government considers this unnecessary. The education boards were instructed to ensure actual evaluation of the exam papers written by the students.”

The education adviser said this time, there will be no formality in publishing the results.

“The chairman of their respective education boards will officially announce the results of their students from their own offices. Students will get their results sitting at home," he added.

He, however, said that the leakage of exam question papers has been strictly controlled so that students can reveal their true talents through their exams.

In addition to the concerned officials of the education boards, he thanked everyone for performing their duties properly at the exam centers.

In this year, he said, students will get the proper evaluation of their talents.

“We have come out from the previous situation. This trend will continue in the future as well,” he added.

He expressed the hope that the trend of the government will continue in future so that students get the real evaluation of their merits by participating in public exams.
