DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025(BSS) - Special prayers including Doa Mahfil, Milad and Khatme Quran have been offered across the country seeking early recovery of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The prayers were held at mosques, temples, social organizations and different places of worship.

In Dinajpur, prayers were offered at the Bandhan Community Center around 10:30 pm. The doa and munajat were conducted by district BNP president Advocate Md. Mofazzal Hossain Dulal.

In Habiganj, a Milad Mahfil and food distribution program was held at the Habiganj Orphanage with Central BNP Organizing Secretary Alhaj GK Gaus as chief guest. 

In Shirajganj, recitation of Fatiha and Darood Sharif, special prayers were offered seeking Begum Khaleda Zia's quick recovery and the wellbeing of the nation this noon with BNP Standing Committee member and former 
minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku as the guest.

In Jhenaidah, the district BNP arranged a special Doa and Milad at the district party office this evening seeking the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.

In Nilphamari, prayers were offered at the district BNP office seeking quick recovery of Begum Zia.  
 
At Dhaka University, the university authorities offered special prayers seeking Khaleda Zia's speedy recovery after Zuhr prayers at the university's Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Mosque. 

At Islami Arabic University, special prayers were offered by the university administration at the central Mosque of the university on the occasion. 

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) authorities here also offered special prayer including Munajat and Doa seeking wellbeing of Begum Khaleda Zia.

Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council offered special prayer on the premises of the Dhakeshwari National Temple this afternoon. 

Agrani Bank PLC's Zia Parishad also offered prayers for the recovery and good health of Begum Khaleda Zia at the head office today.

Another Milad Mahfil was held at Baitul Aqsa Mosque located in Segunbagicha in the capital by a JCD leader seeking wellbeing of Begum Zia.

Several more prayers were offered at different districts and upazilas including Sylhet, Cumilla, Patuakhali, Nandail, Vandaria, Shoilakupa etc.
