Millstone tragedy victims to get financial assistance

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) – The government has decided to give financial assistance to the families of those who have been killed and injured in an Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in the city’s Uttara.

The decision was taken at the weekly meeting of the Council of Advisers today at the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) here with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in the chair.

“Family members of 36 people, who were killed in the Millstone tragedy, will get Taka 20 lakh each while the injured people will get Taka 5 lakh each for one time,” Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said while he was briefing media about the cabinet meeting at the Foreign Service Academy here this afternoon.

Besides, the injured persons, who need long-time treatment, will get necessary treatment at the government hospitals at free of cost, he said, adding that the injured persons will be given registration cards for the medical care.
