DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today assured that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the security of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman upon his return to the country.

"There is no apprehension regarding his security. We will arrange every possible measure to ensure his safety," he said.

He made the remarks while responding to journalists' questions after a Core Committee meeting on law and order at the Home Ministry in the Bangladesh Secretariat.

His comments come amid growing public and political attention surrounding Tarique Rahman's return to Bangladesh on December 25, ending his 17-year stay abroad and ending years of speculation over his homecoming.
