DHAKA, May 31, 2026 (BSS) – All government and private offices, including banks, insurance companies, and capital market institutions, will resume operations tomorrow after a long seven-day public holiday for holy Eid-ul-Azha.

The government declared holidays from May 25 to May 31 for the Eid.

Combined with the weekly weekend, the government employees enjoyed a full seven days of leave.

After the long break, millions of working people are expected to return to their workplaces starting tomorrow.

Although some banks operated on a limited scale before Eid, all banks will return to normal banking activities from tomorrow.

The number of people returning to the capital has increased following the Eid holidays. Working people are traveling back to the capital from different parts of the country by road, rail, and water transport.

As a result, traffic volume on various roads in the capital is gradually increasing.
