Dhaka, March 16, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions in the next 24 hours from 9am today.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," a BMD bulletin said.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga while the lowest temperature today was 15.5 degrees celsius at Tetulia.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 21mm in Khepupara.

The sun sets at 06:08pm today and rises at 06:05am tomorrow in the capital.
