DHAKA,June 22, 2024 (BSS)-Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind and moderately heavy to heavy falls at different places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at few places Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places Khulna and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, " said the weather bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged the country, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi. While, today's minimum temperature 24.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bandarban.

Rainfall for the last 24 hours from 6 am today was recorded 54 mm in Netrokona.

The sun sets at 6:49 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in the capital.
