DHAKA, Sep 1, 2024 (BSS) - Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) today has been named the auditorium and open stage of the institute after the names of its two students martyred during the Anti-discrimination Student movement, said an ISPR press release.

The auditorium has been named after the name of Shaikh Ashabul Yeamin while the Open Stage was given after the name of Md Rakibul Hossain, the release said.

Shaikh Ashabul Yeamin, a student of Computer Science and Engineering Department of MIST and former student of Mechanical Department Md Rakibul Hossain embraced martyrdom during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on July 18.
MIST also set Yeamin-Rakibul corner it its central library in memory of two martyred students.
The parents of martyrs and MIST’s Commander Major General Md Nasim Parvez, Deans of all institutions, head of the departments and officials, teachers and students, were present on the occasion.
