UGC delegation visits BOU campus as part of training programme

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2024 (BSS) - University Grants Commission (UGC) will organize a four-month foundation training programme with the aim of increasing the capacity of the new teachers in different universities of the country and improving the quality of time-befitting education.
 
The training programme will be arranged under the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project of UGC, said a press release of BOU.
 
As part of this, a 10-member high-level delegation, led by UGC Member Professor Dr. Mohammad Tanjim Uddin Khan today visited BAU main campus in Gazipur, its teacher training venue, auditorium, guest house and management team, ICT unit, dormitory, media department, transportation and communication facilities and various ongoing development programs at the university.

UGC Secretary Dr. Md. Fakhrul Islam, Strategic Planning, Quality Assurance (SPQA) Division Director Dr Durga Rani Sarkar, Project Director (HEAT Project) Professor Dr. Asaduzzaman, Deputy Director (SPQA Division) Engineer Md Monir Ullah, Programme Officer (HEAT Project) Abu Taleb Md Munir and Assistant Director (SPQA Division) Md Mostaq Ahmed were in the UGC delegation.

BOU's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Director Professor Dr Md. Sirajul Islam, Additional Directors Professor Dr Mohammad Zahir Raihan and Khan Md. Manwarul Islam and Registrar Dr. Md. Shafiqul Alam and Media Division Director (In-Charge) Sharif Md. Shahabuddin were also present.

A comprehensive training module has been developed by UGC for this four-month foundation training.
