Islamic Foundation launches software to make contribution to Zakat fund

DHAKA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS) - Zakat money can be paid easily through online by using Zakat Management System Application Software as the Islamic Foundation (IF) Zakat Board has launched the software for taking money to its Zakat fund.

The application software has been developed under the expertise development project of Mobile Game Application with the supervision of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division. 

Details about the application would be known after access into the website like https://ezakat.gov.bd/.

Even a Zakat payer can take receipt and certificate immediately after paying Zakat money, according to a foundation release.

Any person by using the Software can easily pay his Zakat online from his home quickly.  Even the expatriates can pay their Zakat money while staying abroad.

The application software has made open all the necessary information like Zakat fund operation system and policy, rules on payment of Zakat, collection of Zakat and distribution policy, particular sector Zakat distribution and Zakat counting regulation.

“Since Zakat is considered as one of the most five important pillars of Islam.

Zakat payment is mandatory for a Muslim male and female if he or she has a particular amount of financial resources”, the release said.

The society as well as the state or world will be free from poverty if the rich people follow the rule of Zakat in a proper way.

The Zakat, which is being donated to the government Zakat fund is free from paying income tax.
