Met office predicts dry weather mainly over country

DHAKA, Jan 18, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted weather may remain dry over the country for the next 24 hours begins from this morning.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," said the forecast begins from 9am today.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining western part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2) degree Celsius over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and it may fall slightly elsewhere over the country. Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 31.3 degree Celsius jointly at Cox's Bazar and Teknaf and today's minimum temperature 11.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Srimangal.

The sun sets at 05.35 pm today and rises at 06.43 am tomorrow in the capital.
