Fire at Mirpur Bata Showroom under control

DHAKA, Jan 20, 2024 (BSS) - A fire that broke out in a Bata Showroom at Mirpur on Sunday night, brought under control early this morning.

The fire originated at the showroom at Proshika intersection, Mirpur-6 around 11:55 pm on Sunday, Fire Service and Civil Defence media wing officer Khairul Islam Rony told BSS.

Six fire fighting engines, three from Mirpur Fire Station, two from Kallayanpur Fire Station and one from Siddiqbazar Fire Station doused the flame around 4:50am today, he said.

The cause behind the fire and the extent of damage could not be said without investigation, he added.
