During the visit, the adviser met with the family members of Riaz and consoled them. He also handed over financial assistance to the family.

The shipping adviser also visited the grave of the martyr and offered doa and munajat seeking eternal peace for his departed soul.

Earlier, the shipping adviser inaugurated a pantoon at Hizla Launch Ghat located at Ghosher Char under the Guabaria union parishad in Barishal, naming the pantoon after martyr Riaz as a mark of profound respect and remembering the memory of the martyr.
