ICT sends 3 cops to jail over crimes against humanity

DHAKA, Jan 20, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) today
sent three policemen to jail in different cases lodged over crimes against
humanity.

The three policemen are Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tanjil Ahmed and
Constables Akram Hossain and Hossain Ali.

The three-member tribunal led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the
order as police produced the trio accused before the court and the
prosecution pleaded to show them arrested in crimes against humanity case.

Of the three, AC Tanjil was arrested over the brutal murder of Imam Hossain
Tayim, Hossain Ali is accused of being involved in a murder in the capital's
Uttara area while Akram Hossain was arrested for the killing of Hridoy in
Gazipur Konabari area.

Prosecutors Gazi MH Tamim and BM Sultan Mahmud took part in the hearing at
the tribunal today.
