Sazzat Ali asks OCs to increase patrol in the city

DHAKA, Jan 20, 2025 (BSS)- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali has asked the OCs of all police stations to strengthen patrol specially during the predawn hours to prevent muggings and robberies in the city.

In a meeting with the OCs 50 police stations under DMP he also urged them to build up good relations with the people to get information properly and timely about the activities of the criminals.

High officials of police were present in the meeting held at the conference room of DMP headquarters.

The DMP Commissioner asked the OCs to ensure filing of cases timely in all case-worthy incidents and take quick action to this end.

He also listened to the OCs about the problems and challenges they are facing while delivering the services.

Sazzat Ali awarded Taka 50,000 to ASI Md. Mesbah Uddin of Bhatara Police Station for his bravery while arresting an extortionist on January 15 last.

OC of Uttara Paschim thana and OC of Mohammadpur thana were also awarded on the occasion for their success in arresting a large number of robbers during a special drive.
