FBI delegation visits CTTC office

DHAKA, Jan 23, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the central intelligence agency of the United States, visited the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday as part of the ongoing cooperation and partnership to enhance the capacity of the wing. 

A delegation led by FBI Legal Attaché Sohel Daud visited the unit, said a police press release.

During the visit, the FBI delegation expressed its keenness in enhancing the performance of CTTC officers and imparting various specialized training to counter terrorism and international crime.

In addition, emphasis was also given on modern training to prevent cybercrime, transnational crime and money laundering.

Detailed discussions were held on continuing mutual cooperation to combat these crimes. 

Joint Police Commissioner, CTTC Md. Saleh Uddin and senior CTTC officials were present.
