NCP leader's daughter dies in Sherpur road accident

SHERPUR, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - A minor girl was killed in a road accident in Nowhata area adjacent to the BSCIC industrial area of the district town on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was Ayra Moni, 3, daughter of Engineer Md. Likhon Mia, convener of the district National Citizen Party (NCP). 

The accident occurred around 3 pm on the Khowarpar road when the child fell between a CNG-run auto rickshaw and a microbus near her house and was seriously injured.

Later, the child was rescued in a critical condition and she died on the way to the District Sadar Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Sadar Police Station Md. Zubaidul Alam confirmed the matter.
