DHAKA, Feb 3, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today said Indian media is carrying out a propaganda war against Bangladesh and its interim government.

He made the remark while speaking at a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy here this evening.

Replying to a question, Alam said during his recent visit to Bangladesh, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri claimed that the Indian government was not spreading disinformation against Bangladesh but Indian media was doing so, while their government did not interfere in media.

Responding to another query, the press secretary said during Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus's recent visit to Davos, Switzerland, international journalists talked about how Indian media is spreading misinformation against Bangladesh as they know Prof Yunus and his government very well.

Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, Senior Assistant Press Secretary Foyez Ahammad and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi were present at the briefing.
