DHAKA, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on former LGRD minister and Awami League lawmaker from Faridpur-3 Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Confirming the matter to BSS, ACC public prosecutor (PP) Mahmud Hossain Jahangir said the ACC has already formed a three-member committee to probe the allegations against Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain of amassing illegal wealth through different irregularities and corruption.

"The former minister is trying to flee the country and if he succeeds in doing so, there is a high possibility of hampering the investigation. So a travel ban should be imposed on him," the ACC public prosecutor said in his plea.
