Argentine envoy pays courtesy call on Adviser Asif Mahmud

DHAKA, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) – Ambassador of Argentina to Bangladesh Marcelo Cesa today paid a courtesy call on Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain at his ministry.

During the meeting, various contemporary issues including employment creation among the youth of Bangladesh, exploring labour markets abroad, expansion of the RMG sector, cultural exchange between the two countries and development in the sports sector were discussed, a press release of Youth and Sports Ministry said.

In the meeting, Asif Mahmud, also adviser of the Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives   said there is a lot of scope  to work  between the two countries in the areas of cultural exchanges and sports sectors.


He hoped that Argentina and Bangladesh can work together on issues like agriculture, trade, commerce and environment.

Director General of South America Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kazi Anarkoly, South America Wing Director Tarik Hasan, South America Wing Assistant Secretary Siam Rahman and senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports were present, among others, on the occasion.
