DHAKA, Feb 08, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka International Marathon-2025 was held today in 300 feet of the city’s Purbachal area under the supervision of the Bangladesh Army.
Bangladesh Olympic Association President and Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman handed over the prizes to the winners of the Marathon at a naval base near 300 feet, said an ISPR press release here.
Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, officials of Athletics Federation and Bangladesh Olympic Association, among others, were present at the event.
It was the largest marathon ever organised in Bangladesh with participation of 10,127 runners. Earlier in the morning Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hasan inaugurated the event.
