2 held with 97 kgs of Ganja in Bogura

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)   arrested two drug peddlers with 97.8 kgs of ganja in Bogura.

The arrestees were identified as Md Sabuz, 32, son of late Ruhul Amin of Authab village in Rupganj Upazila under Narayanganj district and Md Kamal Hossain, 30, son of late Anwar Ali of Laghunandanpur village in Kishoreganj sadar upazila, said a RAB media release today.

A team of RAB-5, acting on secret information conducted a drive at Asha Filling Station on Dhaka road of Adamdighi Thana in Bogura and rounded up the duo with the ganja.

RAB also seized a truck used for transporting the ganja.

At the initial interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they had kept the ganja in their possessions for   selling.   

A case was filed against them in Adamdighi police station.
