MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - Two persons were killed and one injured as a passenger bus hit their motorbike on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Munshiganj's Gazaria upazila last night.

The accident took place around 8.30 pm in the Baushia area of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as, Nayeem Mridha, 25, son of Selim Mridha hailed from Pura Chak-Baushia area under Gajaria upazila and Swajib Prodhan, 23, son of Abdus Sattar Prodhan hailed from Madhya Baushia village of the upazila.

Three friends were moving toward Bhaber Char from Baushia riding on a motorbike and leaving them critically injured when a bus crushed their bike at Baushia area of Gazaria upazila, said Gazaria Highway Police Outpost In-Charge Shawkat Hossen.

Critically injured were rushed to Gazaria Upazila health complexes, among the injured two died on the way to Dhaka for better treatment.
