'Bangladesh Secretariat Entry Policy, 2025' formulated

DHAKA, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - The government has formulated 'Bangladesh Secretariat Entry Policy, 2025' aimed at checking entry of unwanted persons and controlling vehicles into the secretariat to ensure a congenial atmosphere for work. 
 
"In line with the current world, the "Bangladesh Secretariat Entry Policy, 2025" was issued after discussions with the stakeholders in the perspective of the changing situation," said a notification of the Home Ministry signed by its Senior Secretary Nasimul Ghani. 
 
In accordance with the "Bangladesh Secretariat Entry Policy, 2014", the government formulated the policy in the interest of maintaining security and discipline in the Secretariat and to preserve a workable environment by preventing entry of unwanted or unnecessary persons into the Secretariat and controlling vehicles, it said. 

The notification said that the Secretariat is the center of the country's administrative activities and most of the ministries/divisions of the government are located inside the Secretariat.

All these ministries/divisions are given instructions to formulate policies and plans and implement developmental work for the overall welfare of the country and the nation, it said.


The Home Minister has requested all concerned to follow this policy properly to provide overall security to the Bangladesh Secretariat.

A Secretariat Access Control and Security Committee will be formed in line with the policy comprising Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary (Security Division), Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary (Security Wing ), Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary (Administration Division), Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary (Political Wing), Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary/Deputy Secretary (Police Wing-1), Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Secretariat Security) and Deputy Secretary/Senior Assistant Secretary, Secretariat Security Wing.
