BUP observes Martyrs' Day with due respect

DHAKA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) today observed the Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day with due respect, paying tributes to the language heroes.

Marking the day, a delegation led by BUP Treasurer Air Commodore Md Reza Emdad Khan paid tribute to the martyrs by placing floral wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar.

The national flag was kept at half mast at the beginning of the day, according to a press release. 

On this day, the valiant sons of this soil made supreme sacrifice to establish Bangla as the mother-language in 1952, the release said.

It added a special doa was offered seeking eternal peace of the martyrs after Jummah prayer with the participation of senior officials, teachers and staffs of the BUP.
