DHAKA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - A fire that broke out in a sawmill in the city's Khilgaon area this evening was brought under control.

The fire originated in the sawmill at Taltala under Khilgaon Police Station around 7:30 pm today, spokesperson of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Md Shajahan Shikder told BSS.

On information, nine fire fighting engines rushed to the place of occurrence within five minutes and brought the fire under control around 9:35pm, he said.

The cause behind the fire could not be known immediately.

Till filing of this report at 9:45pm, there is no information of casualties, he said.
