769 more netted in Operation Devil Hunt on 15th day

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2025 (BSS) – The joint forces arrested 769 more people under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ on the 15th day since the nationwide crackdown started on February 8 last on  charges of their suspicious   involvement  in destabilizing the country.   

In a short message, the police headquarters said a total of 1341 persons were apprehended of whom 572 on previous criminal cases and 769 under the Operation Devil Hunt in the last 24 hours from Friday noon. 
      
With the latest figure under “Operation Devil Hunt”, 8079 were arrested in total on the 14th day of the crackdown for their suspected link to destabilize the country. 

During the operation in the last 24 hours, one single barrel gun, two cartridges, one light gun and nine machetes were seized.
