DMP files 4016 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 4016 cases in last three days across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The information was confirmed through a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during the last three days from February 20-22 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to DMP release.

During the drive, a total of 432 vehicles were dumped and 107 others towed. 

The DMP press release further said that similar drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
