Seminar on women's contribution to July uprising held in city

DHAKA, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - A seminar titled 'Women's Power in Movement, Women's Words' was held at the National Art Gallery Auditorium here on Saturday.

July Movement Martyr Naima Sultana's mother inaugurated the event, a press release of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) said here today.

Besides, an exhibition named 'The Brave Daughters of July' is going on at the National Art Gallery. 

The exhibition will continue in the next week. It will remain open for all.

The seminar and exhibition were jointly organized by the July Regulative Alliance, Private University National Association of Bangladesh (PUNAB) and BSA to highlight the contribution of women in the recent mass movement of Bangladesh, the release added.

The exhibition featured rare photographs of the July Revolution, posters, video footage of the movement, interviews with eyewitnesses, and memorials of martyrs.
