DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) - A massive fire broke out at various resorts in the Sajek Valley, one of the most popular tourist spot, in Khagrachhari district this afternoon.

The fire originated around 1:05pm, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Upon receiving information, one fire fighting engine rushed to the place of occurance around 2:40pm and is trying to douse the flame.

Ten more fire engines, two each from Matiranga, Longdu, Panchhari and Lakhichharianr, one each from Khagrachhari Sadar and Ramgar are one the way to reach the spot.

The Fire Service said it takes time to reach the spot due to the remote area and there is also water shortage at the site.
